Republican Committee of Chester County Proudly Endorses Marty Young for Congress (PA-06)

West Chester, PA — 12/17/2025 — Yesterday, the Republican Committee of Chester County announced its early and enthusiastic endorsement of Marty Young for U.S. Congress in Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District.

In a decisive move to seize a historic opportunity, the Committee rallied around Marty Young — a proven problem-solver, veteran, and business leader — to take on incumbent Chrissy Houlahan in the 2026 general election. The early endorsement reflects overwhelming confidence in Marty’s ability to unite Republicans, independents, and undecided voters around a positive vision that puts Chester County families first.

A Challenger Ready to Lead

Marty Young is a fourth-generation Pennsylvanian, West Chester Schools graduate, West Point alumnus, and Army National Guard Lieutenant Colonel. For more than two decades, he has served — and continues to serve — as an Army Chaplain, supporting soldiers and their families through mental health crises, homelessness, and the challenges of resilience and reintegration.

At the same time, Marty built a nationally recognized career as a turnaround executive, repeatedly called in to fix complex, high-stakes business problems. Over the course of his career, he has helped stabilize more than 100 companies, saved thousands of jobs, and even led one company from losing $1 million a day to earning $100 million a year.

Marty and his wife Sandy are raising their four children in West Chester and have deep roots in the community. From Eagle Scouts to Special Olympics athletes, their family’s life is grounded in service, responsibility, and showing up for others.

A Seat Within Reach

Pennsylvania’s 6th Congressional District — spanning all of Chester County and portions of Berks County — has shifted politically in recent cycles and is now firmly competitive. With a closely divided electorate and growing dissatisfaction with incumbent Rep. Chrissy Houlahan’s record and public conduct, the district presents a clear and winnable opportunity for change. “Houlahan’s record shows she’s focused more on advancing national policy priorities of her

donors and leadership in Washington than addressing the everyday concerns of Chester County families,” said Marty Young. “The people of this district deserve a representative who’s focused on solving problems, not playing politics — someone who will be accountable, protect taxpayers, support our veterans, and make sure families here can build a good life. That’s what I’m running to do.”

Marty’s Vision for PA-06

Putting Pennsylvania families first — confronting the cost-of-living squeeze hitting working families from every direction, and making sure raising kids, owning a home, and staying rooted in this community is still possible for the next generation. Repairing a healthcare system that’s failing families — when people are paying more each month for healthcare than their mortgage and living one broken arm away from a GoFundMe, the system isn’t complicated — it’s broken. Marty is focused on practical solutions that lower costs, increase transparency, and put patients back in control instead of insurance companies and Washington insiders.

Growing jobs by backing people who actually create them — cutting red tape that strangles small businesses and manufacturers, encouraging investment, and keeping good-paying jobs and skilled workers right here instead of watching them leave the district. Bringing discipline back to Washington — treating taxpayer dollars with the same

seriousness families treat their household budgets, cutting waste, and applying private-sector problem-solving to a federal system that spends more every year and delivers less.
